The Pacman

Another milestone for Manny Pacquiao after winning the fight against Mexico's pride, Antonio "The Tornado" Margarito. The fight has been sought everywhere and by everyone. No traffic in EDSA at all coz all drivers took off to watch the said fight and the restaurants which offered a pay-per-view inclusive of a lunch buffet... all of the tickets were sold out.

The fight was so intense and would need others a breather for them to calm down. If you'll look at the streets, noone's there coz everyone's infront of their tele watching and cheering for the "Pambansang Kamao".

Physically, you can say that the Mexican fighter has all the advantage coz of his weight, height and long reach. Pacman had a hard time knocking him out but definitely, Pacman pulverized Margarito at the end of the fight. Pacman has a good hand and foot works. He has an overwhelming speed when it comes to throwing punches. Pacman threw 411 power punches and one of those punches gave Margarito a swollen eye.

During the events like this, all Filipinos unite and stand firm in supporting their fellowmen.
For Pacman, you made us all proud being a Filipino. You've brought honor to our country and to all Filipinos around the world. Another highlight in Philippines' history for winning 8 titles in a row.

Once again, this is Gilbert saying, "You've been synchronized!".

ICE Can Help You

We all carry our mobile phones with names & numbers stored in its memory but nobody, other than ourselves, knows which of these numbers belong to our closest family or friends.

If we were to be involved in an accident or were taken ill, the people attending us would have our mobile phone but wouldn't know who to call. Yes, there are hundreds of numbers stored but which one is the contact person in case of an emergency? Hence this "ICE" (In Case of Emergency) Campaign

The concept of "ICE" is catching on quickly. It is a method of contact during emergency situations.. As cell phones are carried by the majority of the population, all you need to do is store the number of a contact person or persons who should be contacted during emergency under the name "ICE" ( In Case Of Emergency).

The idea was thought up by a paramedic who found that when he went to the scenes of accidents, there were always mobile phones with patients, but they didn't know which number to call. He therefore thought that it would be a good idea if there was a nationally recognized name for this purpose. In an emergency situation, Emergency Service personnel and hospital Staff would be able to quickly contact the right person by simply dialing the number you have stored as "ICE."

For more than one contact name simply enter ICE1, ICE2 and ICE3 etc. A great idea that will make a difference!

Let's spread the concept of ICE by storing an ICE number in our Mobile phones today!

Please forward this. It won't take too many "forwards" before everybody will know about this It really could save your life, or put a loved one's mind at rest .

Remember: ICE will speak for you when you are not able to.

Work Overload

I don’t know if it’s a good thing or not… but I’m kinda pre-occupied in the office lately. I’ve been in this situation for almost a month now. Reports, reports, and more reports are coming in to my way. I’ve been doing everything I could to deliver everything on time. Is this what we call “dedication”? Or I’m just simply doing it for the sake of work? Actually, I don’t know anymore. But if you’ll ask me if I’m still happy with what I’m doing… as a matter of fact… I am!

Maybe, I’m just experiencing too much stress due to excessive workloads. But how can I cope up with it? I can’t even go on leave for a day because we’re shorthanded in our manpower. My colleague resigned last month so basically I’m the only one doing the reports. Good thing, my supervisor took the liberty in doing some of the reports left by my ex-officemate.

Right now, I really want to unwind and would like to go somewhere else where I can relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of the urban area. I know that it sucks to be like me sometimes but that’s just how the way life goes. Sometimes you have all the good things within your reach but there are times that you feel like you’re at the bottom of the food chain.

For now, I’ll just have to go with the flow and see what’s in it for me for the coming days. I hope and pray that it should be something big that would change my life. Still hoping and praying for it but I’m not totally expecting it. Just surprise me Lord… and I know you will. =)

This is Gilbert. Another day has passed and you’ve been synchronized.
